A prize bond is a government-backed savings instrument issued by the State Bank of Pakistan through National Savings. Your money is safe and fully refundable, and every bond is entered into regular draws for tax-paid cash prizes.
Six denominations are active: the bearer Rs. 100, Rs. 200, Rs. 750 and Rs. 1,500, plus the registered premium Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 40,000. The Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 15,000 bonds have been discontinued.
Every denomination is drawn quarterly (four times a year) by the State Bank of Pakistan on a fixed, rotating schedule.
